When I bought my dream house a few years ago, I knew that it was where I was going to live the rest of my life. The house is gorgeous, I have about an acre of land, and my neighbors have become my best friends. The only problem that I had, which turned out to be easily solved, was all the pigeons around the property. I am glad I did not see how many were there when I looked at the house initially! I knew that I needed to look into bird control just a short time after moving in.
I was tired of seeing the bird droppings on my sidewalk, my driveway, my car, my deck, and even on my house. At the worst, it seemed there were hundreds that took up residence on my property. I contacted a company that helps with bird control, and they sent someone out that same week to look at the different options that might be available to me. The reason I went with this company is because they are close but also because they they only do humane options when it comes to removing birds from an area.
They told me the problem was my roof. There were so many attractive roosting and perching places for the birds that they did not look anywhere else in the area for other accommodations. It looks like I was not the only one smitten with the house and property! They had a good place to live and plenty to eat, but the bird control guys told me that if I took away their home, they would relocate. I did not want anything to detract from the appearance of the house, and they were able to work with that. I am so happy because I can not tell a difference in the appearance of my house, but I can tell a huge difference in the amounts of birds here.
